Nelson Man Accused Of Donation Jar Theft

A Nelson County man is behind bars accused of stealing from a donation jar.
49-year-old Wilmot “Bill” Packard of Schuyler has been arrested for petty larceny. The sheriff’s office says Packard took money from a jar at a Food Mart on January 2.
The money was supposed to help a family pay for funeral expenses.
Packard is being held without bond at the Albemarle - Charlottesville Regional Jail.
