It Takes A Task Force To Raze A Dealer

Albemarle Co. Man Arrested in JADE Cocaine Bust

Members of the Jefferson Area Drug Enforcement (JADE) Task Force arrested one man following a special operation in the 2600 block of Barracks Road in Albemarle County Monday.

Narcotic detectives seized approximately 16 grams of cocaine and seven grams of marijuana.

Dwayne Anthony Goodwin, 29, was arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and distribution of cocaine.

Goodwin was also arrested on two Albemarle County Circuit Court cAPIAS for distribution of of cocaine from previous JADE operations. He is being held without bond pending a hearing.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges and arrests are pending.
